PRIMARY ELECTIONS BEGINS

Global Strategies’ president appeared on TV to comment on the beginning of the Primary Elections in the U.S. and the Hillary Clinton and Marco Rubio’s White House candidatures.

Regarding democrats, Antonio Camuñas emphasized that, in contrast with what happened eight years ago, it will be possible that Hillary Clinton will not have any opponent. However, he said that she would face other risks like her age, her health problems, her past as US First Lady, or her decisions as a NY Senator and Secretary of the State.

On her side she will not have to “take distance” from President Obama – whose popularity has increased recently – which brings her a wide base of voters.

Likewise, her victory will depend on her republican opponent in the presidential election. Antonio Camuñas noted that the GOP has turned to the right in the last years and that could be a problem in order to defeat democrats. In addition, that can damage other moderate candidates like Jeb Bush.

However, troubled waters can be found at the GOP and no one bets on which will be the opponent of Hillary Clinton in the long road to the Oval Office as of today.
