BORNS "SOCIEDAD CIVIL POR EL DEBATE"
Madrid, March 2015 (EUROPA PRESS) - More than fifty independent professionals, from different disciplines and geographical areas, have created "Sociedad Civil por el Debate". SCD is an independent association intended to challenge political parties by putting in value and preserving the Spanish Transition to democracy. Also, they intend to achieve "the update and reform needed by these values and which is being demanded by the new economic and social circumstances".
The association stated that its goal is "to raise the voice in order to provide rigorous, worthy and compose contributions against the challenges that are being faced by Spain nowadays". SDC will do its public presentation in different Spanish cities during the month of April.
Among the promotors of SCD we can find journalist as Manuel Campo Vidal and Cristina Manzano; University Rectors like Águeda Benito (Universidad Europea de Madrid-UEM) and Roberto Fernández (Universitat de Lleida-UdL); senior officials like José Manuel Silva; intellectuals like Ignasi Riera and lawyers like Raquel Ruiz-Giménez and Antonio Camuñas.
The professionals who form the association are worried about the disputes between political parties and their inability to reach state agreements in crcial subjects for Spain, like aducation, public healts, public adminsitration reform, corruption issues, youth unemployment, brain drain and foreign affairs.
