VISIT TO MARINA DE EMPRESAS, THE GREAT ENTREPRENEURIAL POLE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

VALENCIA, AS A KEY INNOVATION HUB

 

Madrid, 9 October 2015.- The chairman of EDEM, Antonio Noblejas and the director general of Marina Real, Jaime Esteban, invited Vicente Boluda, Chairman of the Valencian Association of Businessmen (AVE) and the former Minister of Science and Innovation, Cristina Garmendia, to visit Marina de Empresas – operating headquarters of EDEM, Lanzadera and Angels - the cluster for training entrepreneurs and supporting enterprises created by Juan Roig to encourage individual enterprise and talent via entrepreneurial effort and leadership.

The headquarters of this ecosystem of entrepreneurs is part of this businessman’s commitment to leaving a legacy to society. The Marina de Empresas is located in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I and has an approximate size of 18,000 m2. About 9,000 m2 are used for the Escuela de Empresarios EDEM (School of Entrepreneurs), a non-profit organisation whose board of trustees is formed by over 27 companies of renowned prestige. Its mission is the training of entrepreneurs, senior managers and businessmen, as well as encouragement of leadership, the spirit of enterprise and culture of hard work.

EDEM was created in 2002 by the Valencian Association of Businessmen (AVE) and its Trustees and Members are companies and entities of prestige.

Also present during the visit were the chairman of Global Strategies, Antonio Camuñas, the chairperson of Gobiérnate, Cristina Seguí, and the director general of AVE, Diego Lorente.
