LILIAN TINTORI’S VISIT TO SPAIN

 

Madrid, March 2016.-

Lilian Tintori, wife of Leopoldo López, Venezuelan political opponent jailed by the regime of Nicolás Maduro, was in Madrid to present the book “Preso, pero Libre” (Imprisoned, but Free) in an act introduced by the Nobel Prize of Literature, Mario Vargas Llosa.

The act was widely publicised and attended by many personalities of all spheres of Spanish life.

In the afternoon Lilian Tintori held a meeting in the offices of the law firm Cremades & Calvo Sotelo, with about one hundred young people from various schools of Madrid, in which a documentary about the situation of Venezuela was shown. Leopoldo López’s wife provided a detailed description of the situation of her family while waiting for the release of her husband and answered the questions posed by the young audience.
