II EDITION INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL STUDIES AWARDED BY THE FOUNDATION "CENTESIMUS ANNUS PRO PONTIFICE"

 

At Aula Giovanni Paolo II, in Vatican City, the President of Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice Foundation, Domingo Sugranyes Bickel, presented to the media the II Edition of the International Award for Economics and Social Studies, awarded by the Foundation.

In this edition, the Jury, chaired by H.E. Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich, and President of the Economic Counsel of The Holy See, awarded Pierre de Lauzun for his work "Finance: un regard chrétien. De la banque mediéval a la mondialisation finacière", a profound reflection on the morality that motivates financial markets, viewed in the light of the social doctrine of the Church. Mr. Lauzun is General Director of the Association Française des Marchés Financiers and he was General Director of the Fédération Bancaire Françcaise until 2014.

The award will be presented in the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome on May 22 in a Ceremony presided by Cardinal Secretary of State H.E. Pietro Parolin.
